The world’s oceans have risen. Habitable land area has decreased while population has increased. Society is now looking to the sea as a viable place to live. It is on the sea that we are now looking to build our communities.

ISB Continues to Achieve Exceptional IB Results

Sherry Ho and Adhira Mangalagiri were ISB’s first ever full score IB Diploma students (45 points). This is a truly magnificent achievement and we are delighted and very proud of them. They were members of a cohort who achieved ISB’s most successful IB scores to date. Worldwide, about 0.2% of the IB candidates earn 45 points; an elite few to say the least. Accreditation at ISB - First Report on Progress and Planning

Following the article about accreditation in the Bulletin of 15th October, we are pleased to report that ISB has completed its First Report on Progress and Planning. This report is in response to the recommendations of the accreditation Visiting Team that ISB hosted last year.
There were 96 recommendations from the Visiting Team; 65 of them regarding the articulation and documentation of the curriculum. Almost 40% of the curriculum recommendations have been completed and almost 50% are in progress. So, the curriculum improvement process is on track to meet our own goals and to address these recommendations.
In addition, the Visiting Team recommended that the Board of Trustees consider its own size, composition and strategic role, and this year the Board has worked hard to address these recommendations. The final First Report on Progress and Planning will be available in both libraries after the winter break.
ISB Strategic Planning III - Roadmap to Greatness

Implementation has begun. It is an exciting time here at ISB as we begin to make the vision of the ISB’s Strategic Plan III, Roadmap to Greatness, a reality. During the coming school year, we will put 14 of the 34 action plans approved last spring into practice. The ISB administrators have developed mutual commitments and expectations directly related to the strategic plan. These commitments will ensure implementation of the action plans. Read more...

Highlights from ISB International Olympic Day

The haziest day in six months couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the crowd at ISB’s International Olympic Day. We had a fabulous turnout of parents and community members, all eager to see our students kick off the official Olympic Continental Challenge, a year-long competition among the students of all divisions.
