Mission Statement
The mission of the ISB PTA, in partnership with ISB, is to enhance student learning, encourage character development, and promote a feeling of community.
Goals
- To provide a variety of opportunities and venues for ISB community involvement.
- To enhance the ISB community through the partnership of school and parents with PTA as the liaison.
- To support students and staff in curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Objectives:
- Welcome and encourage all parents and teachers to participate in PTA activities.
- Give parents a voice in the school decision making process.
- Raise and distribute funds to enhance curricular and extra-curricular activities or for desired facility or equipment improvements which are not otherwise provided for in the ISB budget.
- Support students’ overall learning and development.
- Promote character building experiences through:
- matching student fund raising efforts
- Supporting student volunteerism and other charitable activities
- Raise school spirit and promote participation in school events.
- Show appreciation and give recognition to staff for their efforts.
- Encourage students and show appreciation of their participation and achievements in extra-curricular activities.
- Provide a venue to conveniently buy school supplies, sport and activity related items, and school spirit items.
